Before Your Treatment:
The safety and well-being of all guests is a top priority, I am committed to following the recommended procedures and protocols of the CDC, the World Health Organization, and local health authorities to meet the latest COVID-19 guidance and I am taking the necessary steps to minimize potential exposure to guests and myself. Rest assured that my added protocols will have no effect on the level of service and treatment quality you expect and deserve during your appointment.
As a precautionary and preventive step, I have increased the frequency of deep-cleaning and disinfecting the studio room, using hospital-grade disinfectants. Additionally, I wash my hands and forearms frequently and thoroughly. Sheets, headbands, and wraps are replaced prior to every treatment and all product containers are frequently disinfected. I am certified in Blood Pathogens, Infectious Disease Control, Best Practices/Precautions with National CPR Foundation, Infection Prevention & Control with Rejuvenate, and Proper Sanitation and Disinfection Practices with Barbicide.
As my guest, I encourage you to follow guidance offered by the CDC as it pertains to prevention and treatment. To safeguard the health of all guests and other visitors, I ask that you postpone your visit if you are ill with flu-like symptoms, or if you have recently traveled to a region that is experiencing widespread transmission of COVID-19. Finally, we encourage you to follow CDC recommendations and the same personal best practices that are standard for typical flu season – frequent washing of hands; avoiding contact with eyes, nose, and mouth; and limiting exposure to other sick people.
If you are feeling ill or experience symptoms prior to your appointment, please contact me immediately. I will be happy to reschedule at no charge. If you have any questions, concerns, or requests, please do not hesitate to bring them to my attention.
What should I expect?
Please come with a clean face, no jewelry, and arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to complete a skin & health care intake form. This is part of the initial consultation, the pertinent information you provide will help me to properly assess your skin. I will do a skin analysis, listen to your skincare concerns/goals, discuss the appropriate treatment for your skin, and then begin your treatment. We require all guests to wear a face mask and to wash their hands prior to your services. While in the treatment room you may remove your mask if you are having a facial or lip treatment. Expect to leave your facial appointment feeling relaxed and revived.
Will my skin be red and irritated after my facial?
My facials focus on restoring and nourishing the skin with my soothing plant-based products. Most guests walk away from their facial looking refreshed and ready to take on the day with a gorgeous glow!
My facials do not include harsh treatments. Some of the products with more active botanical ingredients and/or my facial massage activates circulation, bringing a rosy flush to the skin. This typically eases within a couple of hours.
Drinking plenty of water to keep skin hydrated post-facial will help reduce any flushing. Remember that sun exposure, alcohol, and caffeine can also dehydrate skin and cause further redness.
If you are up to 20 minutes late for your 60-minute facial, you can have the remaining time at full cost. If you are up to 10 minutes late for your 30-minute facial, you can have the remaining time at full cost. Clients later than this will be asked to reschedule.
